Hank is a graduate of Taft High School, growing up in the Walnut Hills neighborhood.  Hank started playing semi-pro football in the late 1970's.  He formed the Cincinnati Jets in 1981, playing middle linebacker with them until 1986.  He brought a lot of young players from the inner-city neighborhoods into a game that was primarily a grown man's game.  Hank is a big reason that there are teams in Cincinnati today.  He will always be known as a true legend, being the person that started it all by bringing semi-pro football back to his neighborhood.
